Multi-instrumentalist and composer Dijf Sanders captures sounds from across the globe. He fragments, reshapes, and fuses them with modern electronic textures, creating an entirely new universe where cultures and styles intertwine.
His field recordings and electronic experiments gave rise to albums such as Java (W.E.R.F. Records), Puja, Lichen, and Supra (Unday Records) and to collaborations with leading artists including Simon Segers, Mattias De Craene, Wim Vandekeybus, Sylvie Kreusch, Nicolas Mortelmans, Vitja Pauwels, Viktor Perdieu, and Louise van den Heuvel.
From this restless curiosity emerged Sanders & Segers: a project where distant voices and textures—most recently captured from fieldrecordings in Vietnam—are channelled through Sanders’ machinery and set free through Segers’ drumming. Here Segers becomes a Man-Machine, a human sequencer, while Sanders acts as a living effects processor, bending and reshaping sound in real time. Together they sculpt music that is raw, trance-like, and tribal—never pre-programmed, always alive in the moment.
Rather than following the classic cycle of studio and stage, Sanders & Segers invite the audience into an unfolding process. Snapshots of live shows are distilled into digital releases—fragments of a sound world that cannot be reproduced in the studio, and that exists most fully in the act of performance itself.
